In my last post, I gave you instructions for setting up a local symbol store in order to start to build up a “debugging environment.” What I didn’t tell you was why you were doing that. In this video blog entry, I’m going to explain and demonstrate why we loaded the Windows symbol files into the symbol store, and why you should put your own application’s symbol files into your symbol store.
